Kaxite Expanded PTFE Tape is a Form-In-Place joint sealant tape made from 100% expanded PTFE with a self-adhesive strip on one face. Because the material conforms to the flange surface under bolt load, it seals rough, pitted, scratched and damaged flange faces, as well as glass-lined and enamel flanges and unusual geometry that a pre-cut gasket cannot bridge. The tape contains no fillers and no binders, so it has the same chemical inertness as pure virgin PTFE — inert across pH 0–14 and stable from −200 °C to +260 °C. The peel-off backing lets the tape stick to both horizontal and vertical flange faces; the two ends cross to form a complete sealing ring in position. The material has an unlimited shelf life, shows no age deterioration and resists creep and cold flow. Suitable for almost all fluids where corrosion and pressure resistance are required — chemical processing, steam and water systems, pharmaceutical and food service, pulp and paper, power and general industrial lines.
