Kaxite Sealing manufactures compression-molded PTFE rods from 100% virgin PTFE resin, isostatically pressed and free-sintered to full density. The result is a homogeneous, stress-relieved round bar with the same mechanical properties in every direction — the raw material professional machine shops rely on for large-diameter seals, bushings, valve seats, piston rings and electrical insulators. We supply Ø25 – 500 mm standard, 300 mm standard length, plus custom diameters, cut lengths and CNC-machined parts to drawing. Procurement teams choose us for factory-direct bulk pricing, documented traceability and 7–15 day lead times.
Molding gives you something extrusion cannot: uniform density and isotropic properties in every direction, even at Ø300 mm and above. Extruded rod shows molecular orientation and slight anisotropy — fine for small diameters, but a liability in large-diameter bearing and high-load seal applications where a weak axis will fail first.
Free-sintering produces the same strength along, across and through the cross-section. No weak axis, no delamination risk.
Isostatic pressing eliminates the micro-voids and stress planes that show up as porosity when you machine extruded or skived material.
Our presses handle large-diameter billets up to Ø500 mm — sizes that extrusion simply cannot produce with acceptable tolerances.
Slow controlled cooling after sintering relieves internal stress, so machined parts stay in tolerance through handling and service.
Compression-molded and free-sintered virgin or filled PTFE round bar with a homogeneous, stress-relieved structure. Standard diameters Ø25 mm to Ø500 mm with a 300 mm standard length; custom diameters, cut lengths and machined parts to drawing on request. Available in virgin white plus glass fibre, carbon, graphite, bronze and MoS₂ filled grades. Zero water absorption (ASTM D-570) means dimensional stability in humid service.

Maximum chemical purity, lowest coefficient of friction, best dielectric strength. FDA 21 CFR 177.1550 compliant.
For chemical, food and pharmaceutical service
15 / 25% glass fibre improves compressive strength, reduces creep and dramatically improves wear resistance under load.
For heavy-duty bearings and thrust washers
Carbon and graphite additions deliver electrical conductivity, better wear and improved thermal dissipation.
For anti-static parts and dry-running seals
Lower friction and better self-lubrication than glass-filled. Ideal for valve seats and packing rings in dry service.
For self-lubricating valve and packing parts
20 – 60% bronze powder gives the highest thermal conductivity and load-bearing capacity in the family.
For bridge bearings and heavy bushings
Molybdenum disulphide lowers friction further and improves initial wear behaviour in dry running.
For unlubricated dynamic sealing
Molded rod is the raw material for any precision component where large diameter, isotropic strength and full density matter. Common finished parts include:
V-rings, spring-energised seals, backup rings and stem seals for chemical, oil & gas and pharmaceutical valves.
Large-diameter bushings, thrust washers and slide pads in pumps, mixers and material-handling equipment.
Filled grades machined into PTFE piston rings for dry-running and lubricated compressors.
High-voltage stand-offs, coil forms and dielectric barriers where >40 kV/mm dielectric strength is required.
Valve seats, dip pipes, column supports and lab equipment machined from single-piece molded rod.
FDA-compliant guide rails, wear strips and product-contact parts. See the PTFE molded sheets range for flat formats.
MOQ negotiable for trial and prototype orders. Free short cut samples of standard diameter and grade available for evaluation.
7–15 days for standard diameters and cut lengths; longer for non-standard sizes or CNC-machined parts to drawing.
FOB Ningbo / Shanghai, CIF and DDP available. T/T and L/C payment terms confirmed at quotation.
Inspection report with every shipment. FDA 21 CFR 177.1550, RoHS and REACH documentation with full resin-lot traceability.
Molded rod is isostatically pressed and free-sintered, giving uniform density and isotropic properties in every direction — the preferred choice for large diameters and high-load service. Extruded rod is forced through a die, producing molecular alignment in one direction and slight anisotropy, but is more economical for small and medium diameters. See our extrusion PTFE rods category for the extruded format.
Virgin PTFE cold-flows under sustained pressure. For high-pressure static seals or dynamic service, we recommend filled grades — glass, carbon or bronze — that significantly improve compressive strength and reduce creep. Our engineers review your pressure, temperature and media before confirming the grade.
PTFE machines easily with sharp carbide or high-speed steel tooling. Use high cutting speeds with slow feed rates, keep tools sharp to avoid tearing, and use coolant or compressed air to clear chips. Coarse threads are more robust than fine threads. Full machining guidelines are supplied on request.
Excellent. Unlike many polymers, PTFE does not become brittle at low temperature. Molded rod retains flexibility and toughness down to -200 °C and below, making it suitable for LNG equipment, aerospace components and cryostat assemblies.
Yes. While standard diameters run Ø25 – 500 mm, we can manufacture custom diameters, cut lengths to reduce your waste, and custom-compounded grades (bronze, MoS₂, graphite, or specific colours) for OEM applications. Send a drawing or diameter and length list for a quotation.
Yes. Precision fabrication is a core service. We CNC-turn and mill molded PTFE rod into finished seals, bushings, thrust washers, valve seats, piston rings and insulators to your drawings — reducing your lead time and eliminating material waste on your side.
Standard shipments include an inspection report with density and tensile data. On request we supply FDA 21 CFR 177.1550, USP Class VI, RoHS and REACH declarations, plus material certificates and full traceability from PTFE resin lot to finished rod.
Store horizontally on a flat, supportive surface in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep in original protective packaging until use. Avoid dropping or impacting the rod — virgin PTFE grades can be marked or dented. Under these conditions shelf life is effectively unlimited.
Send us your diameter, length, grade, annual volume or finished-part drawing. Our export team replies within 24 hours and confirms grade selection, lead time, packaging and documentation before you place a bulk order.
