Kaxite Expanded PTFE Sheet is made from 100% expanded PTFE through a proprietary process that produces a uniform, highly fibrillated microstructure with fibers running in multiple directions. That structure makes the sheet soft and pliable yet tough, and gives it the ability to conform to rough, pitted, scratched and damaged flange surfaces — as well as glass-lined and enamel flanges — that a rigid PTFE gasket cannot seal. The material is inert to almost all common chemicals across pH 0–14, with two exceptions: molten alkali metals and fluorine in liquid or gas states. Service temperature range is −450 °F to +500 °F continuous, with a short-term peak up to +600 °F. The sheet is free from asbestos and lung-intruding materials, meets FDA requirements, is non-toxic and non-contaminating, and can be stored without time limits. It resists creep and cold flow, seals at low compressive load, and is easy to cut and install. Suitable for corrosive fluid, acid, alkali, solvent, waste liquid and oil service. Kaxite Expanded PTFE Tape is a Form-In-Place joint sealant tape made from 100% expanded PTFE with a self-adhesive strip on one face. Because the material conforms to the flange surface under bolt load, it seals rough, pitted, scratched and damaged flange faces, as well as glass-lined and enamel flanges and unusual geometry that a pre-cut gasket cannot bridge. The tape contains no fillers and no binders, so it has the same chemical inertness as pure virgin PTFE — inert across pH 0–14 and stable from −200 °C to +260 °C. The peel-off backing lets the tape stick to both horizontal and vertical flange faces; the two ends cross to form a complete sealing ring in position. The material has an unlimited shelf life, shows no age deterioration and resists creep and cold flow. Suitable for almost all fluids where corrosion and pressure resistance are required — chemical processing, steam and water systems, pharmaceutical and food service, pulp and paper, power and general industrial lines.
