PTFE Tubes

Kaxite PTFE Tubes are extruded from 100% virgin PTFE resin, producing a smooth-bore tubing with excellent chemical resistance and high dielectric strength. Standard outer diameters range from 3 mm to 28 mm with wall thicknesses from 0.75 mm to 2 mm; other sizes can be produced on request. The tubing operates from −200 °C to +250 °C, with a specific gravity of 2.13–2.24 and a tensile strength of 2,500–4,000 PSI (ASTM D638). Dielectric constant is 2.1 and volume resistivity exceeds 10¹⁸ ohm·cm, making the tubing suitable for electrical insulation as well as fluid handling. The smooth inner bore minimises friction and product buildup, and the material is chemically inert across pH 0–14, non-contaminating and non-stick. Applications include chemical transfer lines, insulating sleeves, pharmaceutical and food fluid handling, pneumatic lines and semiconductor equipment. Cut-to-length pieces and coil form are available. Samples are available for evaluation before bulk orders.

PTFE Tubes — Smooth-Bore Virgin PTFE Tubing and Sleeves

Kaxite PTFE Tubes are extruded from 100% virgin PTFE resin, producing a smooth-bore tubing with an internally uniform surface, high chemical resistance and excellent dielectric strength. The tubing is flexible enough to bend around tight radii, does not stick to the fluids it carries, and does not contaminate the media it contacts.

Standard outer diameters range from 3 mm to 28 mm, with wall thicknesses from 0.75 mm to 2 mm. Service temperature range is −200 °C to +250 °C. The tubing is used for chemical transfer, electrical insulation sleeving, pneumatic lines and non-stick fluid handling across chemical, pharmaceutical, food and electronics industries.

02 Why PTFE tubes

PTFE tubing solves a specific set of problems that metal, rubber and standard plastic tubing cannot. It is specified when the tubing itself must not react with the fluid, must not contaminate it, and must stay flexible across a wide temperature range.

  • Smooth inner bore. Friction and product buildup are minimised, so viscous fluids flow more freely and cleaning is easier.
  • Chemical resistance. Inert to strong acids, bases, oxidizers and almost all solvents across pH 0–14.
  • High temperature resistance. Continuous service up to +250 °C, with a working range down to −200 °C.
  • High dielectric strength. Among the best electrical insulation of any plastic — used as insulating sleeves and liners.
  • Non-contaminating. No additives leach into the media; suitable for food and pharmaceutical fluid handling.
  • Flexible yet strong. Withstands pressure while still bending around tight routing radii.
  • Abrasion and anti-friction. Does not wear or gall against the fluid stream; resists product adhesion.
03 Typical applications

Chemical transfer

Transfer lines for aggressive acids, bases and oxidizers in chemical processing plants.

Electrical insulation

Insulating sleeves for conductors, thermocouples and high-frequency cables.

Pharmaceutical & food

Fluid handling where the media must not be contaminated by the tubing.

Pneumatic lines

Low-friction pneumatic and hydraulic lines where metal tubing would corrode or gall.

Semiconductor & electronics

Ultra-clean fluid transfer and dielectric sleeves in high-purity equipment.

Lab & analytical

Sample transfer, chromatography and analytical instrument tubing.

09 FAQ
What outer diameters and wall thicknesses are available?
Standard outer diameters range from 3 mm to 28 mm, and standard wall thicknesses from 0.75 mm to 2 mm. Other diameters and wall thicknesses can be produced on request. If you specify the inner diameter and the fluid pressure, we can recommend the correct wall thickness.
Can you produce custom lengths and coil form?
Yes. We supply cut-to-length pieces, coil form and continuous long-length tubing. Please specify the length per piece or the total meters you need, and we will confirm availability and delivery time.
Is virgin PTFE tubing suitable for food and pharmaceutical use?
Yes. Virgin PTFE is chemically inert and does not release additives into the media it contacts. It is widely used in food, beverage and pharmaceutical fluid handling. For specific regulatory or documentation requirements, please state your needs in the inquiry.
Is the tubing flexible enough to bend?
Yes. PTFE tubing is flexible and can bend around tight radii without kinking, within the material's ductility limits. For very small radii, we can recommend a smaller wall thickness or a larger bend radius to avoid kinking.
Do you provide material certificates and samples?
Yes. Material certificates, dimensional inspection reports and grade documentation are available for production orders. Samples are available for evaluation — please provide the outer diameter, wall thickness and length you need, and we will confirm availability and delivery time.
