PTFE Ball

PTFE Ball

Kaxite PTFE Balls are precision machined from 100% virgin PTFE to a flat, tidy surface with no crevices, no layered structure and no separation. The material is chemically inert across pH 0–14, operates from −200 °C to +260 °C, and has one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid material — making the ball self-lubricating and non-stick. It is also resistant to aging, radiation, oil and high pressure, with very low permeability. Applications include check valves, ball valve seats, chemical dosing pumps, corrosive fluid conduits, flow meters, electrical insulation parts, sealing parts and connector accessories. Virgin and filled grades are available, along with custom diameters, tolerances and surface finishes to drawing. Samples are available for evaluation before bulk orders.
Precision Machined PTFE Bearing Balls

PTFE Ball — Chemically Inert Bearing Ball for Valves and Pumps

PTFE Ball precision machined virgin PTFE bearing ball for valve and pump applications

Kaxite PTFE Balls are precision machined from 100% virgin PTFE to a flat, tidy surface with no crevices, layers or separation. They are chemically inert, self-lubricating, and resistant to aging, radiation, oil and high pressure — the standard choice for check valves, ball valves, chemical dosing pumps, flow meters and insulating applications.

Surface & chemical properties

Flat, tidy surface

Precision machined to a flat and tidy finish — no surface defects, no crevices, no layered structure and no separation between layers.

Aging & radiation resistance

Does not degrade under long-term exposure to ultraviolet light or ionizing radiation, unlike most standard engineering plastics.

Low permeability

Very low gas and liquid permeability — the ball does not absorb the media it contacts and does not allow gas to bleed through.

High pressure resistance

Withstands high seating stress in valve seats without deforming permanently, thanks to the homogeneous molded structure.

Oil resistance

Unaffected by oils, greases and hydraulic fluids — no swelling, cracking or loss of mechanical strength.

Non-contaminating

Chemically inert and free of additives that could leach into the media, suitable for food and pharmaceutical fluid handling.

How to order
  1. Specify diameter and tolerance Nominal ball diameter in mm and the required tolerance class, or the seat bore diameter if we should recommend the ball size.
  2. Select grade and color Virgin PTFE for chemical, food and electrical service; filled grades on request. Natural white is standard.
  3. Provide quantity and packing preference Number of balls per size and any packing requirements (bulk carton, tray, private-label).
  4. Confirm delivery details Required delivery date and destination port, so we can schedule production and shipping.
  5. State documentation requirements Material certificate, dimensional inspection report or other project-specific documentation.
FAQ
What diameters and tolerances are available?
We machine PTFE balls to any diameter within the material's machining limits, with tolerances confirmed per order. Send us the nominal diameter and the required tolerance, or the seat bore diameter and operating pressure, and we will recommend the correct ball size and tolerance class.
Should I choose virgin PTFE or a filled grade?
Virgin PTFE is the default for chemical, food and electrical service. It has the best chemical resistance and does not contaminate the media. Filled grades (glass fiber, carbon, graphite, bronze, MoS2) improve creep resistance, hardness and wear resistance for high-load or high-cycle valve applications. Send us the medium, pressure and cycle rate and we will recommend a grade.
Can you produce non-standard sizes or special surface finishes?
Yes. We machine to drawing for non-standard diameters, spherical tolerances and special surface requirements. Send a DWG, DXF, PDF or a physical sample and we will confirm tooling, unit price and lead time.
Is PTFE ball suitable for food and pharmaceutical use?
Yes. Virgin PTFE is chemically inert, non-toxic and does not release additives into the media it contacts. It is widely used in food, beverage and pharmaceutical fluid handling. For specific regulatory or documentation requirements, please state your needs in the inquiry.
Do you provide material certificates and samples?
Yes. Material certificates, dimensional inspection reports and grade documentation are available for production orders. Samples are available for evaluation — please provide the diameter, tolerance and grade you need, and we will confirm availability and delivery time.
